How it works

How a lead reaches you

From a search in Burnaby to your phone ringing, in five steps.

  1. Someone searches for your trade in their city

They find a site with a page for that service in that city, written around the local housing, weather and neighbourhoods. The phone number is at the top.

  2. They call, and your phone rings

Each site has its own local number that forwards to you. Before you pick up you hear which site the call came from, so you know it's a lead and not a supplier.

  3. Or they fill in the form

You get their name, number, city and the job by text and email. Missed calls from new numbers come to you as a text with the caller's number.

  4. You quote and do the job your way

You talk to the customer, set the price and bill them directly. We never take payment from your customers.

  5. You pay commission on the jobs you win

The rate is agreed for your trade before the first lead. A lead that doesn't turn into a job costs you nothing.

Terms

Your leads are yours alone

One contractor per site

Each site sends its leads to one contractor. A lead isn't sold to three companies who then race to call it.

Commission on jobs won

The rate is agreed for your trade before the first lead. You pay it on jobs you do from our leads, and nothing on the ones that go nowhere.

Every lead in writing

Form leads come by text and email, and missed calls come as a text. You always have the name and number, even if you were up a ladder.

What we do

  • Build the site, with its own name and look
  • Write a page for every service in every city you cover
  • Keep it findable in Google and in AI answers
  • Track every call and form, and send each lead straight to you

What you do

  • Answer the phone, or call back missed leads
  • Quote and do the work
  • Tell us which leads became jobs
  • Pay the agreed commission on those jobs

Trades

Running now

  • Pressure washing
  • Garage doors
  • Appliance repair

Any trade where customers call to book can work: gutters, plumbing, heating, roofing, electrical and more. If yours isn't running yet, ask, and we'll tell you plainly whether we think it would.

Where it started

It started with one washing machine repair site in Vancouver. The phone rang.

Nothing about that site was clever. It had a page for every city it served, plain answers to the questions people actually type, a phone number you could see without scrolling, and a form that sent the lead to someone who would read it. Leadsmith is that recipe, built once and reused for every trade and town.

Ask about your trade

Tell us what you do and where

We'll call you back to talk through your trade, the areas you cover and the commission.

We call back during business hours. Your details are only used to talk about leads.
